Hello, I'm 39 weeks and early Sat. morning my water started leaking but then stopped. But Sat. evening the midwife still found amnio ferning pattern in my fluid- so the hole did not seal. Despite walking, stimulation, etc, I did not go into full labor (just mild sporadic contrax). We are now 30 hours from when my water first leaked- I took castor oil at midwife's suggestion and threw it up. What happens now? How long can I go with membranes torn? Should I go get hooked up to antibiotics and just wait for labor to start? I'm going to try one more smaller dose of castor oil and see... any suggestions? I really didn't want a hospital birth. KM
