My doc referred me to a gastroenterologist who prescribed Prevacid, which worked wonders until about 37 weeks. How much Pepcid AC are you using? Prescription strength is twice the over-the-counter strength, and you doc may let you try that. My doc did say that if you're taking zantac, pepcid, etc. every day, you may have to take a few days off because your body gets used to it. So definitely talk to at least your primary care physician. There are lots of alternatives if you are really bad off (which it sounds like you are). Good luck.
