You used the word "gentle" to describe the procedure!!! That made me laugh!!! I remember it hurting like hell!!! I know, I know, it's probably different for everyone, and I'm sure the doc was being "gentle" with the muscle, but everything else down there was soooo sore by then! I don't know though if your doctor could have done it without your knowing, I could feel the "digging" sensation while she did mine, and I swear she was making that "I'm going to hurt you bad" face!!! I went into labor that night though, so it was worth it!
