LOL!! I'm 38 weeks and also sick of this! I'm tired of sharing my body now!

>From what the OB nurse says, it's only sometimes effective, not often
(helpful, eh?).. a Doc here replied to my question last week, saying it's pretty effective. It can bring on labor within 24-36 hours.

What they describe, is that the doc, while checking your cervix dilation, gently eases the muslcle.. attempting to seperate the sac from the uterus (slightly).. this can bring on slight spotting over 3-4 days, can also loosen mucous plug.

I think some docs do this without telling you, or they do in my practice. And I think mine did it to me on the last visit (i'm 3cm, 70%)... although it didn't seem to work for me. :(

There don't seem to be any adverse side effects, I'd definately ask your doc about it. I also have an appt tomorrow.. and will ask her to do it.

Good luck with your appt.. Keep us posted, I'd be curious to see if it works!
