There is absolutely cause for concern. Two nights ago when I was working in the ER, a woman came in with similar symptoms, and she too had had a tubal some years ago. Both her urine and her serum hcgs were positive: she was pregnant.

If you are indeed pregnant, the fact that you're post-tubal doesn't necessarily mean an ectopic pregnancy, but your risk is considerably higher than that of women who have not undergone the procedure. If you experience bleeding or severe abdominal pain, don't wait for the second serum results; get yourself to the ER.
