Thick Uterine lining

Had a U/S on CD3 and also on CD 12, CD13, and CD15 and still No follicles this month even though OPK is changing colors. My RE said that he is concerned that my uterine lining is thick and not triple lined. He suggested that I call this cycle off and then return to him on CD13 for an U/S to look at the lining on CD13 on a non-Clomid Cycle. He had suggested that we might need to do a D& C until I reminded him that I just had one after my miscarriage in January. If it doesn't look better, he wants to do an HSG and then possibly a hysteroscopy. He told me not to panic, but that he wanted to make sure that there weren't any pre-cancerous or cancerous cells. We also discussed that during this last 4 years of infertility that my periods have been heavy with lots of cramping and clots. He said that he just hated to make me be out additional money.

Here is my question: Due to the miscarriage-I have met my deductible and my out of pocket limit for 2003. Would I be wrong in calling him and asking that he consider going ahead and scheduling the HSG for early next cycle instead of waiting approx. 7 weeks to find out if there is something wrong with my lining? I really trust my RE and wish I would have found him earlier. But, I am feeling anxious and panicked and want to know what is going on?
