Fertilty questions related to being late 30's and breastfeeding? (

Does a woman have a finite number of eggs that she will use no matter what? I am breastfeeding toddler and am 37. If my ovulation is being delayed (and I am not sure if it is), once I stop breastfeeding will I make up for the eggs I did not use on the back end?

Also, can I still be ovulating if my OPK's are coming up negative? I am not even getting a second line at all (let alone having the line be the same color or darker than the control)?

DH & I have not started to TTC yet and I don't want to wean but if I am not ovulating...

Thanks
