For those of you who might have ultrasounds when not pregnant (example: fibroids) just having a large cup of coffee will probably do it. While the office clerk was telling me to drink a ton of water 2 hours ahead of time, a doctor in the group happened to overhear her. The doctor then told me drinking coffee would probably be enough. I went to the hospital a hour later, buying a bottle of water in the cafeteria. I never got to drink it because the U/S tech tested my bladder and said it was full enough. I was not that uncomfortable either. In prior ultrasounds I drank all the water I was told and then was forced to wait, and felt like I would explode.
