Emme, I'm in Taos (even higher than Denver) and I have NOT heard our babies will be born blue. I'm skeptical of that one!! I plan to ask the midwives tomorrow.

Just the same, I would agree with both docs who told you "don't risk it." I wouldn't go up there, personally-- I'm still trying to decide whether it's OK to bring the baby up that high this summer since I'm due ... well... momentarily ... and I'd hate to miss a whole summer of high country. Never did hear - docs didn't find a uterine anomaly did they? Hope your gest. diabetes is under control. Good luck.
