23 weeks pg and chest painFrom: Sommer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 May 2003 15:07:36 -0500 (CDT)
For about two weeks now, I have been having sharp, sudden chest pain, located mainly on my right side, in the rib area, directly beneath my breast (where underwire in a bra would lie). If I touch the rib that hurts, it hurts more (so bviously, I don't toch it!!). It is not heartburn (I am quite familiar with that feeling). I can't find a specific trigger, though it does seem to correlate with eating ~ it comes within an hour after eating, for the most part. It lasts anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Sometimes, it radiates to my back ribs, but it is usually very localized to the front. I can't seem to find anything in my pg books talking about this as a noraml pg phenomenon, so I am wondering if I should be concerned about this? Is it a "call your doctor immediately" type thing, or can it wait another week until my 24 week appointment? Thanks in advance. ~ Sommer
