DR, is it good or bad to go up from a level of 5,000 ft (here in denver) up to a mountain at a level of 12,000 feet???? (the mountains are actually above 14,000 ft at the top, but i wouldn't go that far..........

i know planes are ok, cuz they're pressurized..........but is traveling up a mountain by car safe for my pregnancy? i'm 31 wks pg.........

the reason i'm concerned is that in my birthing class, the nurse mentioned that as it is, our babies will be born blue due to our higher altitude.........so it's got me and my husband wondering if we should stay where we are........?
