Megan, I have never heard that one. I breastfeed my daughter tell she weaned herself at almost 11 months. I'm currently pregnant and have every intention of b/f this new baby until tell he/she weans themselves off. Every nurse, doctor, etc. I talked to always said that breast was best. Shoot, for that matter even the FROMULA MAKERS say breast is best. When you b/f one of the benefits that baby gets is your immunities. Formula makers have never been able to put that into their formulas. I also liked b/f because it was a lot less hassle than bottle feeding, among other reasons. Are you sure that this person said that formula was better than breast and not the other way around? Maybe they meant to say it the other way around and it just came out wrong. Good luck and happy b/f. :)
