A quest about Subchorionic bleed Is the prognosis better ...?From: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 23 May 2003 18:47:39 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I posted the other day. I would like some clarification please, below is my question: At 6w5d (LMP)with my second baby. I had an u/s and it showed a live fetus with a heart beat. The fetus was measuring a little smaller than dates so the u/s was repeated at 7w3d. At 7w3d, the fetus measured right on target and the heart rate was strong and great! They did notice a tiny area of subchorionic bleed at the base of the sac, at the side nearest the cervix. They said it was a tiny amount (not measurable) and told me to go home, carry on with my life, work and raising my other baby and not worry, that most times all is fine, but I may have a little spotting. I am now at 7w6d and haven;t had any spotting Is this reassuring that I haven't spotted? what is the time frame? Does it indicate that the bleed around the sac hasn't gotten bigger? Is a bleed at this location a better/worse prognosis? I take baby aspirin due to thyroid antibodies. Should I be very worried about this pregnancy or is it likely all will be ok?
