I am interested to hear what the doctors here say about your posting. I had the same type of tumor during my first pregnancy. Actually, it seems they grow either when you are not pregnant or only appear when you are. I fall into the later, you must fall into the 1st grouping. My fibroid grew and grew during the pregnancy and one of the docs in my group said it could not be causing the pain I was complaining about---phewy on him! I ended up with a C-section and done by my primary ob/gyn and he said he would decide when he got in there if he could remove the tumor at that time. They don't like to remove them during pregnancy due to the amount of extra blood already going to the uterus. He decided to remove the tumor. It was the size of a cantaloupe! I recovered very well; not one complication. But I did miscarry after that. Now, we cannot be sure if I just fell into the 25% of pregnancies that fail or if the baby tried to attach at the scar site (a problem with the myomectomy). When the biopsy came back, he was very glad he had taken the chance to remove it. The tumor had outgrown it's blood supply and was beginning to die inside of me. That's what the pain was from! If they had not removed it, I would have ended up in another surgery within 2 weeks. I'm pregnant now (9w) and have heard a heartbeat so my chances of m/c are now 5%. I feel lucky. Good luck to you.........*~*~*~*~and here's some baby dust! *~*~*~*
