I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old. I've been feeling depressed, sad, exhausted and irritable, on and off, for the last 6 months. It's gotten worse during the past 3 weeks so I saw my family doctor. He's put me on Effexor XR 75 mg once a day. Is this antidepressant good for treating postpartum depression and anxiety? I've tried to find information on the net but all I'm getting is that it's used to treat severe depression or when SSRI's don't work. I'm not breastfeeding anymore...
