This is my 3rd child and I am 29 weeks pregnant,I went to the Dr Monday of this week and I was 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. They had me come back on Thursday and did a FFN test that came back negative, so they said they was less than a 1% chance that I would deliver in the next 7-10 days. I had preterm labor with my daughter who is now 2 and dialated 4 cm and was 80 % effaced at 31 weeks but I made it to my induction at 39 weeks. My question is is this just my normal pattern to dialiate early or do you think I may end up having the baby early. Also for a 3rd pregnancy is it normal to maybe be 1 cm I had heard that once you have a baby your cervix never closes fully again is this true and does it work the same way for effacement/
