There is nothing but your own heartbeat and your baby's heartbeat that you could be hearing. If it is slow (~70 to 100 beats per minute) you are hearing your own .. if it is faster, you are hearing the baby. You're fine! Spotting in 1st trimester is pretty common. I had outright bleeding plus 2 weeks of spotting and I'm fine (35 weeks). Don't worry! KM
