Birth defects and methotrexate - 50mg/m2From: Peter (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 12 May 2003 13:42:36 -0500 (CDT)
My wife was given 50mg/m2 dose of methotrexate to abort ectopic pregnancy. It turned out that the pregnancy is not ectopic, and we're now waiting to see if our baby will survive. He/she was alive today (7 weeks 3 days, hCG 40,000) after 5 days of methotrexate. My question is: If the baby survives, what are a chances that it will not have major birth defects ?
