ECTOPIC PREGNANCY-MD PLEASE!

The first day of my last period was 04/01/2003. I am eight days late, had two hpt's and they were both negative. Went to my doctor and she was worried because my copper iud had moved deeper into my ovary so i had a transvaginal ultrasound and no pregnacy was found, normal or ectopic. Was it too soon for it to be detected?(if i were pregnant i would be five weeks). How soon can a fallopian tube rupture? I just started spotting my pantiliners, I think i am getting my period, I have no symptoms of pregnancy at all, much less those pains ive heard from ectopic ones. Should i be worried?
