cervical postion at 39 weeksFrom: Arlene (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 2 May 2003 14:04:03 -0500 (CDT)
I am currently 39 weeks with my first baby, 100% effaced, 1-2 cm dilated and the baby is at 0 station. However, my doc says my cervix is still posterior. I thought the baby coming down is what pushes the cervix towards the front. If my boy's already at 0 station, how much farther will he need to come down to move it into position. Is it possible that my cervix might not move into position on its own? I'm QUITE uncomfortable and I'm wondering how much longer it's going to be. Thanks for all your help!
