Exercise during pregnancy?From: Jan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Apr 2003 10:04:18 -0500 (CDT)
I just found out I am pregnant with my third and wondering what are appropriate limits for exercise. I am a major runner, teach indoor cycling, and lift weights. Every OB in the practice I use gives different advice regarding heartrate during exercise. During my first two pgs. I did keep it below 140 but felt like I did very little at this level. Now I have been told (by another OB) that considering my age (32) and fitness level it would be fine to exceed 140, keeping it around 140-150, never exceeding 160 so long as I feel good. Any advice??? Thanks-
