16.5 wks- pressure down there- worry???From: Valerie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 28 Apr 2003 23:03:27 -0500 (CDT)
I am 16.5 wks pregnant, I have PCOS and am on 200mg oral progesterone twice daily to sustain this pregnancy because I had 2 prior miscarraiges. Around 10-13 wks I felt little flutters like almost like a goldfish flipping in my ovary, then I got an upper respiratory virus and started to feel almost nothing, the doc did a doppler check 5 days ago and all seems fine, and 3 days ago I think I got my first cervical kick (a switch from the ovarian bongos, but not too pleasant either :) and there has been a titch more activity since then... the problem I am now worried about is that I have also recently noticed a feeling of pressure "down there" that started to just be a transient thing whilst standing or walking, however it now feels weighty almost every time that I stand or walk, and stairs are almost scary because the pressure seems heavier... is this normal? When I am walking for more than 30 minutes or so, the pressure is such that I start to wonder if coughing hard is safe because I would swear I could cough this baby out as hard and s/he is sitting there.
