Re: 20wks: was movement... now, nothing for 4 daysFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSat, 26 Apr 2003 12:13:44 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I've had the same situation. I felt a lot of movement about 18 weeks on but then for 3-4 days at a time I felt nothing ... And although it's true that this problem does get better later in the pregnancy (when you can more regularly feel your baby) I STILL (now at 33 weeks) have days where the baby just seems more sleepy and doesn't move much. She'll be very active for several days and then I will have a day or two where she only moves VERY seldom and I can have hours upon hours without a single movement. I hate it but the activity always resumes after a couple of sleepy days. So don't worry about this please. It's normal. Babies go through active/not-so-active cycles... (By the way, if you ever get really worried, you can always go have a coke- sugar and caffeine is a combination that almost inevitably will wake them up.) KM
