Re: Heartbeat question

I rented a doppler from babybeat early on in my pregnancy as well - it took me forever to find the baby's heartbeat as well. It kept picking up my own but not the baby's. I was in tears thinking something was really wrong. I just put it away for ten minutes or so and then I tried again after I calmed down a bit. It took a while longer but eventually I found it. Did yours come with a cd or cassette of instructions? If it did, listen to it, it'll give you samples of sounds you may hear. I couldn't actually pick up what they called the heartbeat until around 16 weeks but what they called the fetal blood flow I could (Either way, it's still the baby's pulse and will register as a heart rate on the monitor). Just take your time - you'll find it. >
