Lisa, If you have been on bcp for awhile it could take awhile to get pregnant. Sometimes when you go off of bcp your system gets out of wack. It takes awhile for your system to get back in line when that happens. You could have spotting, blotting, and pregnancy symptoms without being pregnant. You period could stop completely for awhile too. I was on bcp for 3 yrs. It took us 4 months to get pregnant. had 2 regular cycles and 2 really messed up cycles. after the 2nd messed up cycle the doctor told me to give it 6 months and if my cycles didn't regulate by then we would start trying hormones. I would wait a week and take another hpt. If still negative then call your doctor. Some women do get pregnant immediantly after stopping the pill. Maybe you'll be one of those lucky ones.
