'rare conditions' and pregnancy tests. For dr, others too :O)

Hello,

I bought an early home pregnancy test (HPT) and although it is negative (too early , but I was hoping ..;o)or a true negative :O( ) I noticed in the literature which accompanies it that certain 'rare conditons' (outside of fertility treatment) may 'interfere' with the results. I am just wondering what types of 'rare conditions'?..tumors? Thyroid problems? lease give examples if you know. And also, I presume that they may make a 'positive' result when a pregnancy isn't there..could it also be that they hinder a positive result, making a negative?

Sorry for the obscure question, but this baby making is obviously getting to me :O) and I just wanted to know what examples (most likley) of these 'rare conditions' could be..:O)

Thank you !!
