Reoccurring Yeast infection while pregnant?From: Tina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 10 Apr 2003 23:42:17 -0500 (CDT)
Please I am 29 weeks pregnant & I have been battling a yeast infection that will not go away. I have tried Tarzol 7 twice, 2 weeks apart, and some kind of 1 night prescription cream. It still will not go away. As of 2 weeks ago my OB put me on (once a week) 200mg of Diflucan for 4 weeks. I have been taking it for 2 weeks and it does not seems to be helping. I am still itching. I need help. Will the diflucan hurt my baby at such a high dosage and for taking it so long? Also while taking the diflucan my OB also wanted me to do another Tarazol 7 treatment the first week. I did not do the Tarazol 7 treatment scared that it didn't work before and that so many medications in my body would harm my little one. Plus it makes me very uncomfortable down there it makes everything hurt. I do not takes baths and I am trying to stay away from sugar. Will the yeast infection hurt the baby if I stop treatments? I am sick and tired of treating myself and it not helping plus it is draining my checkbook.
