Dr. Lapidus, I am 33 weeks and lost my mucous plug last week. Doctor confirmed it isn't there and I am dialated almost 3 cm. I have heard that it can regenerate itself and not to trust losing your plug as a sign. Is this true or is labor getting close?

(I have had a few episodes of preterm labor and this is my first pregnancy)
