I used the monitor and only had intercourse when it said to "go for it." It took 6 months each time I got pregnant. One could argue that it worked, but one could also make the argument that "doing it" on a regular basis would have the same effect. To be honest, doing it every other day is too much for me because sex became a chore when we tried to do that. I found charting to be just as accurate (read the book "Taking charge of your fertility") since I did them both simultaneously (charting and the fertility monitor) because I wanted to see if I was charting right, and I wanted to see if the monitor was a piece of crap. at 160 dollars, I just felt like I had to know if I was getting ripped off. I wasn't. It was right on, and helped me determine my problem (short luteal phase). I would love to know if it works for you too. Keep in touch if you like. steph b
