Re: Miscarriage after Cytotec: What should I expect?

I used this drug, and bled like crazy almost a pad and hour and I had to sit on a plastic bag to protect furniture and linens. I even dropped the sac intact into the toilet. It was a pretty horrifying experience, much moreso than than the D&C. There was tissue left (my doctor made me come in two days later for a check up) which the doctor removed immediately via D&C in order to prevent infection. I can't believe that your doctor is risking infection in this way. I would just ask for a D&C and put it behind you. It was much easier looking back on things. Good luck to you, and I'm so sorry for your loss. steph b
