I had a tubal ligation, after the birth of my 3rd child, 6 months ago. I was awake during the procedure and I heard the dr say that he could not find the end of the tubes and then he said "well this must be it because there is nothing else in here". My mother also had a similar experience with her tubal. Her dr said that her tubes seemed to "just turn into water". What could be the problem? Is there a medical name for this condition? And to boot, I am late for my period this month. I had the tubal the day after my delivery and he only cut and tied with some kind of silk thread. Are the chances of becoming pregnant still 1:200 - 1:400 with this kind of tubal ligation? Thanks for your help.
