I read many posts here about owmen drinking a small amount of drinks so I'm making a new post. I found out i was pregnant 3-27-03, I suspect the baby was concieved about 2 weeks b4 Feb 28th. Now I'm 23 years old and my b-day was the middle of march so I drank a lot (to the point of being drunk) for about a week and 1/2... maybe like every other day during that time. But I drink very frequently before and after my b-day. I usually went out on friday nights and had about 8-10 drinks. But when I found out I was pregnant I stopped drinking and smoking. I am so worried that my child might suffer from fetal alcahol syndrome. I was wondering what the percentage of women (who drink a lot) have children with this disorder. And is there any tests that can be done (other then the Amio) to detect any abnormalities? Thanks.
