Cartia and low platellet count

I'm trying to get pregnant and I had blood tests recently, which came up with fibrinogen levels a little higher than normal and platellets a little lower than normal. My doctor told to make new blood tests to see if the values had come back to normal (since at the time of the first tests I was on the pill) or not and that in the meantime I should take Cartia (aspirin based) to help with the circulation. Though I trust her, I was just wondering if the medication will mess with the platellet count, making it go down even further, or if it will only make the blood circulate better. Hope I made sense. Thank you.
