Mild bleeding in the 14th week ... What could be happening ?!!

I am 33 yrs old and into the 14th week of my first pregnancy. Today I noticed that I had a brown stain on my panty liner and wiping with a toilet paper revealed a small quantity of some more rust coloured blood. I tried to search the archives as well do some research on the net about bleeding during pregnancy but have not come up with a satisfactory answer which I felt could relate to my case. I also called up my gynecologist but since I was already scheduled to see him tomorrow he believes it is Ok if I just stick to that appointment. Please ... has anybody else had such an experience ? I can't deny that I am horribly worried and would be happy for any advise regarding what action I should take till I meet my Gyno tomorrow (avoid excercise, avoid lifting any kind of weights etc). Thanks a million in advance.
