Dear Sommer, I agree with your assessment. I think you need a 2nd opinion. You had a fairly severe reaction to a medication, and still don't have a definitive diagnosis of your condition. If the only place to get the 2nd opinion is in the emergency room, that's where you should go. They will be able to put you on fluids and monitoring, as you suggested. However, to get a diagnosis, I would see a well-regarded obgyn in your area. A good way to find one is to make an appointment with an older doctor or professor (40-60 year old) practicing in your local medical school or teaching hospital. He or she will be more likely to diagnoze you if something unusual is going on. Best wishes,
