14w2d pg, B/P is only 86/44?From: Sommer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Mar 2003 12:08:29 -0600 (CST)
I am worried, but my doctor isn't. I'd love another doctor's opinion on my situation. I am now 14w2d pg. For 9 days, I have had a bad headache. I finally went to my regualr family doctor yesterday for it, as I was missing work. The headache is mostly in my eyes and top of my head. Heat, cold, Tylenol, caffeine, massage, chiropractic were not relieving the pain. Doctor said it was sinuses an prescribed oxycodone for the pain. He assured me it was OK to take as needed in pg. B/P was only 86/44, and he said no worries, but my normal B/P is 110/80. Got the prescription and went home. Script said take on full stomach, so I ate lunch. Took the script (2 tablets, 10 mg, I believe?). Within 10 minutes I felt totally drunk. Dizzy, giddy, couldn't walk straight. Within 20 minutes I was vomiting forcefully. The headache returned, plus the vomiting. Within 30 minutes, I had an all-over itchy rash and was shivering like I was cold, but I wasn't cold. Needless to say, I haven't taken any more of the medicine, but I am still quite nauseaus and worried aboutthe low B/P. Plus, I have lost over 7 pounds since I got pg. I started at 106 and am 99 today. I am worried, but my doctor and midwife aren't. I don't know what to do. I feel tired, nauseaus and cold. I feel like I need to go to the ER and get some fluids nad stuff in me, and have my B/P monitored. Am I overreacting? Please help.
