Congratulations on having a little baby inside you! Lots of first time moms don't feel movement until 22 weeks or later. It kind of feels like bubbles or gas, and so many women don't realize it is baby until it gets stronger. It will get stronger-- be patient! And baby may even kick so much he keeps you up at night. If your husband hears something-- I'd think it was your intestines. They make all this gurgly noise. Next time you go to the doc or midwife-- when they are using a doppler to check for heartbeat they can also put it where your baby is kicking and hear the kicks! Most people can't feel kicks when working. This may be because you are distracted, but also baby tends to like the rocking motions of your walking around and doing stuff, so he goes to sleep. In the evening, lay down and relax and see if you can't feel something bubblyin your belly. You will sometime, and the kicks will get energetic. Don't worry, that isn't good for your baby. I'm 5'8 and still some people haven't noticed i'm pregnant--- I'm at 33 weeks, but i do wear loose clothes mostly. Nobody knew at 20 weeks for me. Some women carry their babies tucked in more, especially first time moms.
