Dear Kendra,

Even though I haven't been in your shoes, I understand how you feel. I had a co-worker who was in a similar situation. She knew for sure that her baby was her ex-boyfriend's, and she wanted to give a baby for adoption because she was in love (and relationship) with her current boyfriend. She talked to her boyfriend about giving up the baby (I guess abortion wasn't an option) and he said he would take care of her and her baby no matter who the farther is. After the baby was born, he just fell in love with that little guy even though he wasn't his farther. So I think you need to decide if you and your boyfriend really want to know who the father is. If you find out, would it change anything? Be open with your boyfriend about your concerns and find out what he thinks whether you should have a DNA test or not.

Best wishes.
