(cont'd) NEED URGENT ADVICE... too embarrassed to see someone in person.

CONT'D.....

On June 24th I took a pregnancy test and discovered that I was pregnant. I immediately went to the doctor and confirmed it.

I automatically assumed that I had conceived on June 1st. But, because I wasn't sure if I had actually had my period on May 18th, I couldn't give the doctors an LMP date other than April 26th. (The period I got just shortly after taking the morning after pill.)

This made them believe I was further along than I did. I explained this to my doctor and he sent me for an ultrasound on July 10th. Sure enough, the ultrasound estimated me to be "just under 6 weeks" in the words of the ultrasound tech, and my date of conception to be approx. June 3rd.

This was a relief to me. It seemed that I had become pregnant despite taking the morning after pill. The doctor who gave me the MAP said that she had never heard of it "failing."

My then new boyfriend and I decided to keep the baby. He was extremely supportive of what I wanted to do. I learned that I could not go through with an abortion. (I was still young, 21, and although I did not feel 100% ready for a child, I have a very large and supportive family and I knew that I would be able to do it. He has been supportive of me every step of the way and he was by my side throughout the pregnancy, and birth. He is absolutely amazing and we are very much in love, BUT....

Running out of space... cont'd in next post)
