past exposure to x-raysFrom: A.B. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 17 Mar 2003 06:11:13 -0600 (CST)
>From ages 5-15 I had treatment for severe scoliosis which included radiography 2-3 times a year. I'd estimate at least 50 x-rays of pelvis/abdomen throughout the decade of 1970's, when x-rays were higher dose than now. What is likely effect on eggs of bombarding them with radiation and then letting them stew for many years (I'll be 38 next month)? Also, is congenital scoliosis a hereditary condition? Thanks.
