I am being induced at 39 weeks b/c babies head is measuring a wk ahead and my doc don't think he will fit through my pelvic bones later on.. on the 24th he is gonna check my cervix (at my 36 wk appt he did and said that it was soft) on the 25th at 8am he is gonna insert something into my cervix at 8am and he said 12 hrs later at 8pm he will insert another... These are my questions: Will I have to stay in the hospital the whole time or come back when I have contractions or ready to have the baby?? I've heard things about pitocin but I don't know if my doc is using it or not is it some form of type of penicillin b/c I'm allergic? This is my first pregnancy am I more than likely gonna deliver the next day? If I do deliver the next day and me and baby are fine do we get released that day? Sry if you don't know the answers, my doc is out of town and I won't see him again till the day before my inducement and I'm curious.. Thanks in Advance!
