Re: pregnant with quadsFrom: a (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 12 Mar 2003 07:57:36 -0600 (CST)
I'm not exactly sure why they told you that you wouldn't ovulate on your own. The HCG trigger allows the doctors to time ovulation during fertility treatment. With that many follicles, there is a good chance that yes they did ovulate at different times, but likely within days or hours of each other. I think that right now you are in a wait and see mode to see how many of these continue to develop normally. Have they put you on progesterone which is normal protocol with fertility drugs? Or at least check your progesterone levels. Quads are hard to carry, but not impossible. Of course, it will be harder for you with a 3 yr old. Please keep us posted on how things go. Oh by the way, I am not a medical professional, but have done 10 cycles of clomid, 3 of pergonal and metrodin and 2 of repronex so I have a little experience with assisted reproduction. Congrats!
