My reply to Claudia Twisdale RN re: baby measuring smaller than normal

I do not have an OB. My Dr has a practice specializing in women in general. Yes, this was my first u/s.

I saw my family Dr today for a check up. She could not locate a heartbeat, although she could a month earlier. From navel to pelvic bone, I measure 16 weeks even though I am officially 18 weeks pregnant.

This has been a shi**y day (and week). I am miserable. My baby is measuring too small. What are all the possible reasons and/or outcomes? Is there a chance my baby will be okay? What are the odds?

Again, some real honesty would help.
