Hi Jennifer. I am also insulin resistant with PCOS. I was on metformin (Glucophage) for a year and a half. During that time, I went through 5 rounds of Clomid and nothing happened. I stopped for a couple of months to take a break and lo and behold, I got pregnant on my own! I did have a laparoscopy 2 months previous to becoming pregnant and they removed a cyst, but pathology reports showed that it was a luteal cyst from ovulation, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. By taking the Glucophage, excercising and watching my carb intake, my cycles finally started to regulate. Good luck!! You are in my prayers.
