Deb I've never used a tanning bed, I am as pale as they come... however I did do a search through the archives and here are some of the responses that I found.

>From Dr. McIntosh:
Jan. 2001 External Aloe is fine. Tanning beds are not, though they are not really all that much worse because you are pregnant. At the very least, avoid overheating.

May 2001 It is not safe to use tanning beds while you are pregnant. However, it is not any more dangerous than when you are not pregnant.

M. Kelly Shanahan: March 2001 tanning --- via the sun or tanning beds -- is not good for you. THere are no definitive studies on tanning bed use in pregnancy, but I do not recommend them. You could become overheated which could lead to premature contractions later in pregnancy (due to dehydration)

Hope this helps!!!~*~ Heidi ~*~
