just my experience...i have ever been dx with bv before..i have had 9 pregnancies 6 which ended in m/c but - for bv..my last pregnancy i was dx with bv i was give zithromax because flagyl is contraindicated before 12 weeks ..we never had sex during my pregnancy fearing it would cause another m/c..i was treated about 15 times thru my pregnancy or more and it never went away completely..at my 6 week postpartum check up it was gone..and i havent had it since..we waited to see if i had it later before we treated my husband..but like i said we did not have sex while i was pregnant and i took enough flagyl to cure a small country..lol so good luck to you
