This is a very interesting question, and while I think there may be theoretical risk of developing a problem, you may want to check the CDC Web site to see if they have a more complete answer. As a matter of fact the CDC web site does stay that individuals who are pregnant and live with someone who gets the smallpox vaccine should stay away from that person, unless they also already have the vaccine. Since you are not pregnant yet, it may be good idea for you to get the vaccine prior to getting pregnant. That, or get a new job
