Re: Can a girl ovulate DURING her period? I BEG TO DIFFER!!>>>From: cindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 2 Mar 2003 15:26:58 -0600 (CST)
I have alwyas been very regular from the time I started at 14 years old - now 36 years old. Every 28 days. The first two pregnancies I knew I was pregnant when I was late only one day. It figured out to the 12-14 day that I ovulated both times. I did not like the effects the pill had on me personally, so my husband and I decided to use condoms. We read about the rhythm method and decided to try it. I had a usual 7 day period, and we decided to have unprotected sex on that last 7th day, when I was still spotting, and on the 8th day, then we decided to not push our luck and used a condom every other time - I am now 14 weeks pregnant. My doctor said I either ovulated early, as some times that does happen, or else the semen stayed in and waited till I ovualted for about 5-7 days. We are VERY happy we are having a baby. We had planned to have another one, but was going to wait a few more months, but GOD decided now was better, so we gladly accept. J. Smith, I am happy you are concerned and seeking answers. Please use a condom at all times, or better yet, not having sex at all is the best way to keep from getting anyone pregnant. Good Luck..
