I'm wondering if you have a planned parenthood in your community- they offer free info sessions on Birth control, the effectiveness rates and so on, and would be very happy to answer all your questions. If you are just starting to be sexually active, I'll bet you have a lot on your mind. Being a previous teen parent, I commend you highly for being so concerned about pregnancy. BTW- I conceived using the diaphragm method when i was 17. I love my daugher with my heart and soul, but I tell you, it was VERY hard being such a young parent. At 22 it was a condom that broke. Now, at 31 I am pregnant again after my partner had a vasectomy. I am a great example of how abstinance is the ONLY sure fire method of birth control..it's something to think about. All the best, Darcie
