slow fetal heart beat? ultrasound questionFrom: Abby (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Feb 2003 20:03:58 -0600 (CST)
I had an ultrasound yesterday, and the baby seems to be developing fine. (We are at 13 weeks, and the size is 7 cm). I could see the heart beating clearly(visually on the ultrasound), but it worries me that it seemed (by eye) to be beating much less than 120 beats--in fact, it seemed like it was beating more slowly than my own heart (which is normally about 70-80 beats per minute or so). My question is, is it possible to get an accurate feeling of the heartbeat by eye on the ultrasound? At around 7 weeks, the baby's heartbeat was measured at 120 beats per minute. I am terribly worried for the baby, and would really appreciate any advice. THank you so much!
